Neurologin, Psychiaterin und Psychotherapeutin
G. A.-Z. promovierte im November 1939 zum Dr.med. Ab 4. Oktober 1940 arbeitete sie an der Neurologisch-psychiatrischen Klinik der Universität Wien. Seit 6. Mai 1941 war sie Kandidatin der Wiener Arbeitsgemeinschaft für psychologische Forschung und Psychotherapie. Von November 1939 bis November 1941 unterzog sich G. A.-Z. einer „Lehrbehandlung“ und befand sich seit November 1941 in regelmäßiger Kontrollanalyse bei August Aichhorn. 1954 ging G. A.-Z. mit ihrem Ehemann, Johann Aufreiter (1916-2001), Arzt und Psychoanalytiker, nach Montreal, wo beide Mitglied der British Society wurden und 1955 ein Trainingsprogramm organisierten. G. A.-Z. lebte zuletzt in Toronto.
Sie war Mitglied der Christlichsozialen Partei und der Vaterländischen Front. Im Gauakt wird als „politische Beurteilung v. 15. Oktober 1941“ vermerkt: „Mtgl. der NSDAP seit 1938“, in der Rubrik Mitgliedsnummer befindet sich der Vermerk „noch keine Mtgl. des BDM seit 1934-1936“.
